Fun rugby classes for toddlers and children

Only £6.50 per session | No compulsory uniform buy

Saturday morning rugby classes for toddlers are currently at Bridgwater YMCA from 9.00am to 9.30am for 2-3yrs and 9.30am to 10.15am for 3½yrs-5yrs. Both run in 8 week blocks.

You can join in the course at any time and you will only pay for what days are left on the course (if no spaces are available please contact us).

Sessions consist of fun-based games delivered with energy and enthusiasm. Even at the tender age of 2, the children learn about rugby’s core values – Respect, Discipline, Teamwork, Enjoyment and Sportsmanship without even realising it – all whilst learning to run, catch, pass and kick the ball!

Holiday Rugby Camps

Our Rugby camps are open to a wide range of age groups – from school years 3 to 11. The aim of our courses are to attract new players, ‘active’ players and players that may have lapsed from taking part in rugby or sport in general. Our courses are player-centred and deliver an all encompassing fun, sporting experience, focussing on game based scenarios and fundamental movement skills. No rugby experience is needed to take part, all that is required is the desire to have FUN, lots of FUN!

All our coaches are DBS Enhanced cleared, fully qualified rugby coaches (to a minimum of UKCC Level 1). We follow all RFU codes of practice for all activities and at every opportunity our coaches promote rugby’s unique core values as outlined by the RFU – Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. These core values are what make rugby so special. In our opinion there is no other sport like rugby that delivers something for everyone, no matter what gender, size or shape.

We can deliver bespoke courses or you can choose from one of our structured rugby programmes that promotes physical and mental wellbeing, suitable for school years 3 to 11. Underpinned by core values that define the game – Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. How do Rugby’s core values transfer to school, work and life:

Teamwork: Teamwork is crucial in rugby. The best way to succeed in work or play is to work together
Respect: Respect forms the foundation of Rugby. Everybody has something to contribute no matter how big or small.
Enjoyment: Enjoyment is why we play. Having fun, passion and positivity are key to great performance and achievement.
Discipline: Discipline defines rugby. Strength of character, responsibility and focus helps us achieve our goals.
Sportsmanship: Sportsmanship is at the heart of rugby. We promote integrity and fairness and these are the principles we live by.
